Jointly organised by OCI TerraSus and the Girl Guides Association of Malaysia, Sarawak Branch, in collaboration with the Kuching Plant Club, the symposium was held at Girl Guides Association's premises in Kuching. Themed “From Roots to Future Generations”, the programme featured a terrarium workshop and educational sharing sessions on biodiversity, green leadership and environmental stewardship, encouraging students to appreciate nature and adopt sustainable practices. Speaking at the closing ceremony, our Principal Director of HR and Sustainability, Adj. Prof. Dr. Kim Soo Yeon, emphasised the importance of nurturing environmental responsibility among young people. “Just as strong roots provide the foundation for a tree to grow and thrive, the actions we take today lay the foundation for a more sustainable and resilient future,” she said. The symposium continued OCI TerraSus's partnership with the Girl Guides Association of Malaysia, Sarawak Branch, established in 2024, reflecting its commitment to environmental education and inspiring the next generation to contribute towards a greener future.
