Principal Director, Corporate Management and Sustainability Office, Adj. Prof. Dr. Kim Soo Yeon delivered the keynote address titled “Resilience and Reinvention: Leading with Purpose in Male-Dominated Fields.” She shared her journey as a leader, highlighting the challenges of career progression while navigating motherhood and encouraged students to explore boldly, build capability and lead with purpose. The session was complemented by insights from on-site production engineer, Bellary Badon anak Panting who presented “From Practice to Confidence: Building Resilience and Credibility in a STEM Career.” Drawing from her experience in a male-dominated industry, she shared how perseverance, consistency and competence helped her gain trust and confidence over time. Together, these voices offered meaningful perspectives on resilience, leadership and empowerment, inspiring the next generation of women leaders. This initiative marks the beginning of a year-long programme with the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, Universiti Malaya, under a broader Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between OCI TerraSus and Universiti Malaya. The programme focuses on leadership engagement, cultural exchange, community outreach and sustainability education, supporting OCI TerraSus’s ESG Social pillar and Universiti Malaya’s commitment to inclusive education.
