The Abdullah siblings show that when family values meet workplace dedication, great things happen.

The Abdullah siblings show that when family values meet workplace dedication, great things happen.

If the world had the Jackson 5 or Bee Gees lighting up the stage and Malaysia had the Sidek Brothers dominating the badminton courts, then OCI TerraSus proudly celebrates our very own family of stars - the six Abdullah siblings. Bound by blood and driven by a shared passion for excellence, these six have brought their unique skills and talents, teamwork and family spirit into the workplace - making their mark not on the singing stage or badminton court, but in the heart of OCI TerraSus. Even though they work in different sections and rarely cross paths due to shift schedules and the distance between workstations, they find a sense of family among their colleagues and the people around them. “We sometimes argue about work. “Because what happens at my brother Muhammad’s section can affect mine - but we solve it quickly. “It’s like having a direct hotline within the company,” laughs Haidar, the mechanical section’s assistant manager. The Abdullah siblings each bring something different to the table. Being the eldest, Amira leads the production line, Walid keeps operations running smoothly, Muhammad monitors the process, Haidar handles the maintenance, Anati focuses on prevention, and Auni supports the operations. Together, they keep the plant running safely and efficiently. Even outside of work and during family gatherings, their conversations often circle back to the company they care deeply about. “It’s impossible for us to meet and not talk about our works, even for just a few minutes,” they admit with a chuckle. Despite working in different sections, they share one goal - to help the company grow stronger, safer and more sustainable. “We’ve been through difficult times together,” says Amira, the first to join the company 14 years ago in 2011. “Those moments reminded us how much this company means to us. If something happens here, it affects all of us - our livelihoods, our friends and even our community. “That’s why we work harder to keep improving.” For the Abdullah siblings, OCI TerraSus isn’t just a workplace - it’s where they’ve grown, both professionally and personally, surrounded by colleagues who have become extended family. Although they share the same last name, each of the six earned their place through the company’s stringent recruitment process- undergoing the same screening, interviews and evaluations as any other applicants. Some of them once considered following in their father’s footsteps as a teacher, but life led them here - OCI TerraSus - where they’ve found purpose, belonging and pride. “We help each other, we learn together and we’re proud to be part of OCI TerraSus. We hope to continue growing here until retirement.” In their own words, “This company feels like a big family.”
