OCI TerraSus produces clean, traceable and sustainable solar-grade polysilicon in Sarawak using Malaysian hydropower. We have produced it this way for years and will continue to do so. We welcome the latest measures announced by the U.S. to strengthen its domestic polysilicon industry and enhance the resilience of its solar and semiconductor supply chains from national security risks. The measures, which include a minimum import price of US$21 per kilogram for polysilicon, reflect the growing recognition of polysilicon as a strategically important material for the global solar and semiconductor industries. The measures are scheduled to take effect on 4 December 2026. The development underscores the importance of building reliable, diversified and resilient polysilicon supply chains, particularly as demand for solar and semiconductor applications continues to grow. As a Malaysia-based polysilicon producer outside China, we are well positioned to support customers seeking reliable and diversified sources of high-purity polysilicon.
